ABOUT THE DESIGN:
On the front is the Russian icon of the Holy Mother. An "Obereg" tattoo, meaning "Protector". "Save me Mother from my Sins" or "Keep watch over your son". Also it can be looked at as the Holy Mother is the prison system holding the wearer. It also could mean "On my own since birth". Mostly it had no religious significance to the owner.

On the back is the MIR Eagle logo. This Eagle was a powerful anti-establishment and anti-administration symbol during the 50's and 60'. The eagle conveys the message "Strike first, Dont wait for them to hit you!"
MIR is a Russian word for "world". But its an acronym for "Menya Ispravit Rastrel" meaning "Execution will Reform Me"
